A condom maker in Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong province is suing a Japanese company over competing claims to being the manufacturer of the world’s thinnest condom.

Guangzhou Daming United Rubber Products Ltd (China) said its Aoni condom broke Okamoto’s previous Guinness World Record in December for having the thinnest condom, but Okamoto has allegedly continued to describe its products as the thinnest.

Aoni's ultra-thin 001 natural rubber latex condom has an average thickness of 0.036 mm (0.001417 in),according to the website of Guinness World Record. The achievement was verified on December 2, 2013.
