LHASA - The People's Liberation Army in Tibet autonomous region set up a special troop to help veterans reintegrate into society, training them on job interviews, courtesy, labor contracts and private business startup procedures.

The troop also handed out textbooks on reintegration, helping them to establish confidence in adapting to their new environment.

In order to maintain combat effectiveness, soldiers in the People's Liberation Army in Tibet are dedicated to their tasks and have few opportunities to interact with the outside world.

During an investigation, an officer of this troop became aware of the problem that veterans face after military service, leading to the idea of creating a special course, inviting professors and experts from local courts, the bureau of civil affairs and Tibet University to help the soldiers.

With knowledge gained from the class, veterans felt more confident about job hunting, said the officer.
