New Zealand is ranked as the easiest place in the world to do business, followed by Singapore and Denmark, according to a report called Doing Business 2017 released by the World Bank.
Starting a new business in New Zealand takes less than one day. In Venezuela, it takes 230.
This year's report is the first time New Zealand has seized the top spot in the rankings. It toppled Singapore, which had maintained its first place for the past decade.
