DPRK delegation leaves Pyongyang for China visit

PYONGYANG - A delegation led by a senior official of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), left Pyongyang on Tuesday for a three-day visit to China.
Ri Su-yong, head of the delegation, is a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the ruling Workers' Party of Korea. He is vice-chairman of the party's Central Committee and the director of the party's International Department.
Ri served as the country's foreign minister from April 2014 to May 2016 before he was elected into the Political Bureau of the party at the party's national congress.
