China has called different parties involved in the current Iran-Saudi row to stay "calm and restrained". China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying made the comment at a regular press conference today.
"Like the rest of the international community, China is paying high attention to developments of the row, and is concerned that this may intensify regional disputes. We hope all the parties involved enhance their communication on the issue of counter-terrorism, and form joint efforts."
"We advocate that the safety and dignity of diplomats and diplomatic organizations should be guaranteed. We hope relevant parties stay calm and restrained, and properly solve the problems through dialogue and communication, and maintain the regional peace and stability together," Hua said.
