ANKARA - Two Chinese workers were trapped in a coal mine collapse in northern Turkey on Saturday, a Chinese diplomat told Xinhua in the capital of Ankara.
A ceiling of a private coal mine collapsed in Amasra town of Bartin province early Saturday when eight Chinese workers from China National Coal Group Corp. were working for opening a gallery, the Chinese diplomat said.
Five Chinese workers escaped from the ceiling collapse and one other was rescued, while two other workers still remain trapped in the collapse, the diplomat added.
