RABAT - The Moroccan government called the African Football Confederation (CAF) to postpone the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations because of Ebola epidemic, said a government statment on Friday night.
The 2015 Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled for January 17 to February 8.
Morocco's health ministry asked the government to "to avoid events which involve those countries affected by the Ebola virus," the statement said.
Ebola has claimed lives of at least 4,000 people, mostly in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, since its outbreak early this year.
