MANILA - A group of self proclaimed Filipino hackers has hacked nearly 200 Chinese websites in protest of alleged bullying by China, the group said here on Tuesday.
The group, which first came into popularity in 2012 after hacking different Philippine government websites to protest against the Cybercrime Law, claimed in its Facebook page that it has hacked 195 Chinese government and commercial websites since May 18.
It acknowledged that some people would not agree with their actions and urged their supporters to just respect even the negative comments.
Philippine Communications secretary Herminio Coloma reminded on Tuesday the so-called members of the Anonymous Philippines to follow the law.
"We have laws on maintenance of integrity of sites," he said.
