Passenger train derails in Sydney

SYDNEY - A passenger train derailed at Edgecliffe in Sydney Wednesday afternoon, causing delays for commuters in peak hours, local media reported.
Police said no one was injured in the incident, however, firefighters, police and ambulance officers were called in to help passengers get off the train safely.
The Transport Management Center of New South Wales said the Eastern Suburbs and Illawarra Line was partially closed between Martin Place and Bondi Junction in both directions and replacement buses had been arranged.
The incident may have been caused by brake failure.
