AMMAN - Israeli President Shimon Peres said on Sunday that it is possible for Israelis and Palestinians to overcome differences and skepticism and move ahead to attain peace.
In remarks to the presser during the World Economic Forum on the shores of the Dead Sea in Jordan, Peres said it is time for peace.
"I think this is the general desire - this is the clear option.. . We shouldn't miss this opportunity," he told reporters, adding " because it will be replaced by great disappointment."
"I believe it is possible to overcome differences... I think it is in the real interest of all parties concerned and I believe this is an important opportunity," he said.
"It is important not to waste time and it is important to start talks and complete peace leading to two states; a Palestinian and an Israeli state living as good neighbors and cooperating economically," said Peres.
