GENEVA - Brazilian ambassador to the World Trade Organization (WTO) Roberto Azevedo won the race to become the new leader of the WTO, diplomats told Xinhua Tuesday.
The Brazilian mission did not directly confirm the news, but said there would be a press conference arranged on Wednesday afternoon after the WTO formally announces the result.
Azevedo, meanwhile, retweeted a report saying that he "is selected as next head of WTO".
