BUENOS AIRES - The new Argentine cabinet were sworn in by President Cristina Fernandez Saturday, who herself was inaugurated for a second four-year term earlier in the day.

Most members of the 16-strong cabinet who served during the president's first term retained posts, except the portfolios of the cabinet chief and ministers of economy and agriculture.

Former communications minister Juan Manuel Abal Medina replaced Anibal Fernandez as chief of the new cabinet. Finance Secretary Hernan Lorenzino, who was in charge of a defaulted debt restructuring in 2010, will serve as the country's next economy minister. Norberto Yahuar will become the new agriculture minister.
