President Hu in Hawaii for APEC meeting

Accompanied by a group of government officials, President Hu Jintao arrived in Hawaii on the morning of Nov 10 for the 19th Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation leaders meeting. The meeting will be held at the Hawaii Convention Center from Nov 10 to 14.
During this period, a wide range of issues will be addressed, including green growth, innovation, regulatory cooperation and energy. Also on Nov 10, US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner delivered a speech during the APEC Finance Ministers Meeting, focusing on stronger APEC economies.
Other meetings will also take place in the following days, including one with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
APEC now has 21 member economies, which account for 43 percent of world trade and 55 percent of global economic activity.
This week, President Hu Jintao will meet with leaders from Japan, Vietnam, Peru and others. Later, Hu will hold bilateral talks with US President Barack Obama.
