Traditional Chinese medicine, or TCM, is an extensive and profound set of medical practices. TCM, which dates back more than 2,000 years in China, is now becoming popular abroad.
A growing number of young people from around the world are traveling to China to learn the ancient practice of TCM. They have come to the place of the theories' roots to begin learning the wisdom behind the respected Eastern discipline.
Founded in 1956, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM) is one of the earliest established institutions of higher learning for TCM in China. There are nearly 2,000 international students enrolled.
