"We have a lot of Asian bamboo forests, tea plantations and green tracks, and a series of guest-friendly programs are in place or being launched, including biking, yoga in the tea hills and a kids club to bring them up close to nature," he says.
Each room features a private balcony with stunning views of the natural landscape.
The restaurants and bar at Millennium Resort Hangzhou offer a wide range of gastronomic dining experiences. Guests can enjoy international cuisine and traditional Cantonese and Hangzhou cuisine at Ten Creek, live entertainment complemented with a barbecue specialty bar at MUSIQ Room, or bask in the refined ambiance of the chic and contemporary lobby lounge - Cha Bar.
One attraction is the Oxygen Club, which is equipped with the most state-of-the-art gym facilities and a natural lighted indoor swimming pool.
"Hangzhou has very high standards for hospitality. The competition here is very fierce and tough. According to Tripadvisor, for example, Hangzhou has 1,800 hotels. In the next two years, international brand hotels are going to be doubled," Cook says.
Millennium Resort Hangzhou is located about 35 minutes from the city's airport, 15 minutes from Hangzhou railway station and 30 minutes from Hangzhou East station.
