Visitors to Hangzhou will have a new option of where to stay with the opening of Millennium Resort Hangzhou.
The hotel is under the management of Singapore-based Millennium & Copthorne Hotels and Resorts, and is the brand's first resort in China, thanks to the investment by Hangzhou Pingfengshan Investment & Management, a subsidiary under the Shanghai Federation of Trade Union.
"The opening marks a milestone for the Millennium brand, but also raises the bar of hospitality service standards in Hangzhou, which is definitely a tourism destination in China," says Glen Cook, general manager of Millennium Resort Hangzhou.
"Our location, about 25-minutes' drive from the hustle and bustle of downtown, is our biggest advantage and selling point. Targeting both business and leisure travelers, we provide something different with a greener, fresher, more natural and healthy environment," says Cook, who is proud to show off a property surrounded by rainforest woods, creeks and constant birdsong.
