Europe's luxury hotel group Kempinski Hotels recently announced its plans to open five more hotels in Africa in 2014, besides its two new properties which opened in Kenya this year.

Regent Beijing's Daccapo Italian restaurant is awarded Best Italian Cuisine by Target Magazine's Target Taste Awards 2013. Its chef de cuisine Samuel Zucca has given a modern interpretation to the traditional Piemontese stuffed pasta.

Charity ball

Kempinski Suzhou and Chi Heng Foundation recently held a charity ball in support of children from AIDS-affected families in Anhui and Henan provinces. The event raised more than 170,000 yuan ($27,931).
