Moving painting shows scenes in South Song Dynasty.[Photo/chinadaily.com.cn] |
Standing in front of moving "Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival," you may almost believe what you see in the painting – buildings, shops, boats and people who are doing different things – are another real world. You can see people walking, selling and buying, playing and chatting, and can even hear their voices from the live painting.
It is part of the 2nd World Leisure Expo exhibition in Hangzhou. This is the second time the moving "Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival" has been exhibited on the Chinese mainland, after exhibition at the Shanghai Expo's China pavilion. This time in Hangzhou, one more similar moving painting was added to show scenes in South Song Dynasty. The breath-taking cultures of the North Song Dynasty and South Song Dynasty finally have a chance to cross history.
Aside from the moving paintings, there are many interesting folk artworks in the Leisure Thematic Exhibition Hall of the World Leisure Expo located at Baima Lake in Binjiang district in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. The roof of the Weifang exhibition stand is decorated with the city's most famous thing: kites. A wax statue of a beauty in Tang Dynasty is seen at Xi'an's booth. A girl performs a Thai dance at the country's booth. Many cities, countries and areas show their best images to visitors.
If you are interested in tourism and haven't decided where to go, head to the World Leisure Expo first. You will be inspired.
