The incident occurred in his hometown of Ciudad Victoria, in Mexico's violence-torn northern state of Tamaulipas.
"This morning authorities from the Attorney General's Office of Tamaulipas confirmed the disappearance of player Alan Pulido," the daily Milenio reported from Ciudad Victoria.
According to the daily, as the forward for Greek football team Olympiacos was leaving the party unknown assailants "cut him off and abducted him."
Federal Police forces in conjunction with army, navy and other security forces were working to locate Pulido, after his brother reported the incident, the daily said.
Sports daily Mediotiempo (Half Time), said on its website that Pulido's girlfriend Ileana Salas was with him at the time, but was allowed to go. She then contacted his family.
