Brazilian jockey wins big in Chengdu Dubai International Cup

A dozen jockeys with experience in the United Arab Emirates racing season contested five races on 50 horses in pursuit of a total purse of 3.75 million yuan ($599,600).
Silvestre said because of the race, this is the first time that he visited Chengdu, but he really enjoyed the races.
"The people here did a fantastic job. It is a lovely city, and I hope to come back more times," he said.
US trainer Douglas Watson, whose horses won two races, said the status of the horses are good and the facilities at the race course is excellent.
"I am satisfied at the result," Watson said.
The Chengdu Dubai International Cup Wenjiang-Meydan Classic is organized by the Emirates Racing Authority and Chengdu municipal government.
