In a bold example of installation art, artist Zhou Jie embarked on her project "36 Days" on August 9. For 36 days, she lived in an exhibition hall alone with an iron wire bed, some iron wire sculptures in the shape of stuffed animals, some food and her mobile phone. The whole time she was visible to visitors and she could interact with them. Zhou, who made to her goal of 36 days, said at the beginning, "I'll let nature take its course. I'll leave if I am too sick or can't hang in there anymore."
