An increasing number of Chinese people are choosing to spend their vacations overseas but their general image does not look so good. On pantip.com, the biggest online forum of Thailand, locals often complain that Chinese tourists "jump queues", are "noisy in public" and "behave rudely". It is time Chinese tourists reviewed their behaviors and learned some manners to win some respect from the people of the countries they visit.

Video clips show the male passenger in the incident shouted rudely that he had paid for whatever he wanted, reflecting the distorted mindset common among Chinese tourists, that is, "the customer is always right so he can do anything he wants". They thought they could break the law, but they were mistaken.

Similar incidents involving Chinese passengers have happened many times on domestic flights. Of course, it is absurd to say that Chinese tourists in general lack proper education. But it is the lack of rule of law in China that has made it possible for rule breakers to go unpunished, and prompted people to act unreasonably to seek their demands. Let us hope police will detain passengers creating trouble on flights in the future to deter potential troublemakers.
Beijing Times, Dec 13

Every Chinese tourist should bear in mind that his/her bad behavior could cause inconvenience not only to himself/herself, but also to all compatriots.
