Shugborough - The Complete Working Historic Estate, Milford
Shugborough estate provides a complete guide to living in the 19th century and contains many Chinese artifacts in the family art collection. Its interiors reflect 300 years of the changing fortunes of the Anson family. Highlights include the State Sitting Room and Bedroom, once occupied by Princess Victoria and her mother the Duchess of Kent.

PortAventura theme park, Costa Dorada
The park is divided into five themed zones: Mediterranean, Polynesia, China, Mexico and the Far West. The China park offers arguably the biggest thrill: Dragon Khan, the park's most notorious ride and the only rollercoaster in Europe with eight inverted loops.

Filmfest Hamburg, Hamburg
This competitive international film festival screens more than 100 features, along with 30 or so shorts. Asian, European, and Australian films are the festival's traditional staples, but it promotes local work and screens previews of Hollywood studio movies, too.
