Q: What's your favorite book?

A: South by Ernest Shackleton

What about your favorite business or management book?

I like Competitive Strategy by Michael Porter.

Do you like sports? What's your favorite sport?

I like cycling very much. I usually cycle five hours a week, even in Beijing. My three boys love football a lot. They play many matches in their school, and I think it's very good.

What's your favorite Chinese dish?

Of course Gongbao chicken, which is one of the few Chinese words I can pronounce well. But I like most Chinese food. It is pretty good.

You said you and your wife like traveling a lot. You must have been to a lot of places in China. Which cities do you like most?

Well, in fact, I love Beijing most. Besides Beijing, I like Dali, Lijiang and Kunming in Yunnan province. I think those places are very beautiful with special characteristics.

Why do you like Beijing most?

I love its diversity, food, art, outdoors and culture. I have spent most of my time in China here and I also can do sports in the city.

Do you like to go to bars? What kind of music do you prefer?

Yeah, I like going to lounge bars, such as Migas in Sanlitun village. I like many kinds of music, but I think soft music is my first choice. I just want to relax in bars after work, so I don't like it too noisy.

What do you miss most about Denmark when you are in Beijing?

Well, it is definitely my family. I can often go back to get together with my family back in Denmark, but I still miss them.

What is the Chinese sentence you like to hear most in China?

Keyi (Which means Ok), because it means my colleagues agree or support my ideas when I hear it at work.

What was your wife's attitude when you decided to come to work in China? Do both of you enjoy the life in China?

She was totally supportive. She has learned very good Chinese and can speak it fluently. She loves Chinese culture too and she even studied Chinese medicine.

We both enjoy the life in China. There is so much to do here.

If you like to explore new things, China is a great place. We both like challenges and change, so we love staying in China to embrace the new things including the market, culture and history, even compared with developed countries.
