PARIS - At least six people were killed and three others were injured due to blast caused by a fire in Paris, local media reported on Wednesday.

Citing police sources, local broadcaster RTL said the fire broke out in a squat in Pantin, north east of Paris, before the sunrise burning four habitants while two others died due to asphyxiation.

Three other people were hospitalized following different injuries, it added.

Fire causes were not immediately identified.
