The 'Saving Mr. Banks' star opened up about his marriage to actress Rita Wilson - to whom he has been married to since 1988 - admitting they only ever argue to prove how much they care for one another.
Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres, Hanks said: "I'm not one to suck up to the audience, but the only thing we argue about is who loves each other more."
The Oscar winner was unfortunately too busy with work to celebrate his 25-year wedding anniversary with Rita, 57, when the date came around recently.
However, the couple intend to throw a huge party for their friends and family to mark the occasion next year.
Tom, 57, said: "We decided to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary by postponing the actual party. I was working on Broadway at the time so, we can't have a party now, so later on in the year we're just going to have a big blast and we have yet to figure out when it's going to be."
Tom and Rita first met on the set of his television show 'Bosom Buddies' in 1980 and became romantically involved while filming 'Volunteers' a few years later. The couple have two sons together, Chester and Truman.
