An exhibition themed on women's lives during the Han (206 BC-220 AD) and Tang (618-907) dynasties is ongoing at the Tianjin Museum, which is showing nearly 100 pieces of exquisite cultural relics. Ancient pottery figurines relating to females, as well as gold, silver and jade items and bronze mirrors are on exhibit.
The exhibition features the first female-themed show in the Tianjin Museum and it is presented in collaboration with the Xi'an Museum. It reveals the fashionable life of women in the ancient capital, Chang'an, through clothing, makeup, scenes of feasting, music and dance. The exhibition will run through May 4.
