Photographer Bai Hao.[Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn] Bai Hao started taking photographs at an early age. In the late 1990s, he turned his lens towards old Beijing's traditional culture and history. His work brings dwellings, buildings, cityscapes, cultural activities and daily lives to life. They have appeared in many official or private photo exhibitions. Some of them have been made into albums or postcards. According to Bai, he hopes his photos can promote protection of traditional architecture. He prefers black-and-white photos and a rainy atmosphere for the quaint touch they give his pictures. He is also fond of portrait shooting, to better relate to life in old Beijing. Opening hours: Monday: 14:00-20:00 Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 9am-8:30 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 9 am-5:30 pm |
