Eighteen Arharts by Wu Bin |
The Chinese classic scroll painting Eighteen Arharts by Ming Dynasty painter Wu Bin gives a meticulous depiction of 18 Buddhist monks journeying through a mountainous landscape. Qing Emperor Qianlong adorned the piece with his own calligraphy that vividly described each arhart, one who has achieved enlightenment.
