Classical piano
Pianist Fu Ts'ong is widely known in China as the son of deceased author and translator Fu Lei. His interpretation of compositions by Mozart, Chopin, Beethoven and Debussy has won high acclaim in Europe and the US.

Post-rock Canadians
Canadian post-rock band Godspeed You! Black Emperor (GYBE) will tour China, with a concert in Beijing on April 12 and another in Shanghai the next evening. GYBE was founded in 1994. They are based in Montreal and released their fourth album in October 2012.

Ladies who paint
The work of four female artists will be on display in a joint exhibition at Xiangjiang Gallery. The exhibition will feature paintings by Liu Meiling, Fan Peijun, Cao Yilin and Lu Yi. From social landscapes to portraits of female celebrities, the exhibition presents the diverse styles and perspectives of the artists.

Mongolian rock
Hanggai band was founded in 2004 and has toured extensively to about 60 countries. The band combines the musical heritage of the Mongolian ethnic group with modern elements such as rock and heavy metal.
