Chinese president appoints new ambassadors

BEIJING -- Chinese President Xi Jinping has appointed seven new ambassadors, upon approval by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, according to a statement by the national legislature on Monday.
Li Huaxin was appointed ambassador to Saudi Arabia, replacing Li Chengwen.
Sun Xianghua was appointed ambassador to Lesotho, replacing Hu Dingxian.
Wang Xianmin was appointed ambassador to Antigua and Barbuda, replacing Ren Gongping.
Wu Jie was appointed ambassador to Chad.
Huang Qinguo was appointed ambassador to Bahamas, replacing Yuan Guisen.
Du Wei was appointed ambassador to Ukraine, replacing Zhang Xiyun.
Zhang Haizhou was appointed ambassador to Bulgaria, replacing Wei Jinghua.
