The Shanghai Zhangjiang Boston Enterprise Park will facilitate Chinese companies in developing their business in the United States via providing services such as talent recruitment and technological transfer, said Xie Jihua, president at the National Tech-Tansfer (Eastern) Center.
Xie said the park, which launched in February in Boston, wants to be a Sino-US exchange platform and help companies from both countries.
Xie made the remarks at the China-US Forum on Innovation and Cooperation of Science and Technology Parks on Monday in Beijing.
Xie said his organization and a US company jointly built a management company for the park to help Chinese companies gain trust, support and help from the US side.
The forum was organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Zhangjiang National Innovation Demonstration Zone. It was also a side event of the seventh China-US High-Level Consultation on People-to-People Exchange.
Since the exchange was set up in 2010, people-to-people exchange, where scientific and technological cooperation is a key part, mutual political trust as well as economic and trade cooperation have become three pillars for Sino-US relations, according to the organizers.
