5.3-magnitude earthquake jolts off Taiwan: CENC

BEIJING - A 5.3-magnitude earthquake hit the waters off the coast of Yilan county in Taiwan at 10:17 am on Monday, said the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 24.9 degrees north latitude and 122degrees east longitude, with a depth of 7 km, according to the CENC.
