Burglars caught with extra-large haul
Three burglars sneaked into a house in Guangzhou, Guangdong province of South China, having stolen valuable jewelry and cash worth 2,000,000 yuan in total ($322,211), of which 900,000 yuan consisted of new banknotes bearing serial numbers, according to the Guangzhou police.
On July 7, Xu Sheng, the victim, returned to his mansion in the evening and locked the door. Then 3 suspects slipped into the house around 2 in the morning with one climbing through a window into the kitchen and letting the other two suspects in through the front door.
On July 10, 3 suspects were put in custody and they admitted their crime. Fortunately, the police retrieved most of the stolen goods and cash.
According to the police, these suspects are from a "professional" burglary group and they started their "business" around 1998.
