BEIJING - A cold front on Sunday dispersed the smog in Beijing, Tianjin Municipality and Hebei Province.
The cold front and rain will help scatter pollutants in most parts of the country in the coming three days, but the smog will be back in north China and regions along the Yellow and Huaihe rivers when the cold front passes, according to the National Meteorological Center.
The cold front has brought low temperatures to northeast China. Rain and snow hit Inner Mongolia and northeast China on Saturday.
Temperatures will fall by up to 10 degrees Celsius in most parts of northeast China, north China and regions along the Yellow and Huaihe rivers on Sunday and Monday.
