The 2014 Beijing International Business Aviation Show opened at the CAAC Flight Inspection Center on Sept 16.
The three-day event, which is the only business-jet exhibition in Beijing, attracted more than 80 aviation-related enterprises from nations that include the United States, Russia, France and Brazil, organizers said. The Commerce Ministry's development bureau is using the show as a platform to facilitate enterprises' importing of aviation products, organizers said.
Fifteen business jets and helicopters are open to visitors during the event, aiming to lure potential buyers.
Some heavyweight players in this industry, including Cessna Aircraft Co and Dassault Falcon, are actively promoting their executive jets at the show.
Dassault Falcon, the French business-jet giant, brought its famous Falcon 7X jetliner to the show, pledging to expand its operation in the huge Chinese market, company CEO Jean Rosanvallon said.
Currently, China has more than 400 business jets that are in service, earlier report said, quoting the Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier Inc's estimation that the number of business aircraft in China will increase to 1,100 by 2020, and to 2,047 by 2030.
