The China-ASEAN Justice Forum began on Tuesday, as part of the 11th China-ASEAN Expo and the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit.
More than 60 judicial professionals, including presidents of top courts and chief judges from China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Laos, Myanmar, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore, are participating in the two-day forum in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
Zhou Qiang, president of the Supreme People's Court, welcomed the foreign delegates in an opening ceremony on Monday afternoon.
Zhou said the forum will focus on three topics — Judicial Reform and Improvement of Investment Environment, the Education and Training of Judges and the Development of a Free Trade Area, and Alternative Dispute Resolutions and the Prosperity of Regional Economy.
In the forum, the delegates will come to agreements on judicial work and cooperation, aiming to solve disputes among the countries, Zhou added.
