Event promotes technological development in West China

An event to promote technology development in West China was held on Tuesday in Xixian New Area in Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province.
Co-sponsored by the Development Research Center of the State Council and Li Ka Shing Foundation, Technology Innovation Day is expected to help enhance self-innovation capabilities in China's western region, and promote the transformation and upgrading of China's social and economic development, said Han Jun, deputy director of Development Research Center of the State Council on Tuesday.
"At present, technological innovation has become the primary driving force for economic and social development, and the activity is mainly to build a transnational technology transfer platform to help enterprises in China combine the global markets and resources, and to promote the world's scientific and technological achievements to be capitalized, industrialized in China," Han said.
Jiang Zelin, executive governor of Shaanxi province and director of the Xixian New Area administrative committee, said the Xixian New Area is the most dynamic and important promotion for economic growth in Shaanxi, and will become a base for technological innovation resources and an entrepreneurial base for technological achievements .
Seven top international technological achievements from the United States, Canada and Israel were displayed at the event.
