7-magnitude quake hits Xinjiang

BEIJING - A 7-magnitude earthquake jolted China's Xinjiang at 5:19 pm Wednesday (Beijing Time), according to preliminary readings by the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The epicenter was monitored at about 36.2 degrees north latitude and 82.5 degrees east longitude, the center said in a statement.
