A 31-year-old man in Shanghai's Fengxian district allegedly killed his parents and set fire to the family house on Sunday night, according to xinmin.cn.
The man's parents were found dead at the home on Jan 12 with wounds on their bodies. The man, surnamed Wang, was found in the balcony and was also bleeding.
A neighbor said the man is unemployed and has many unpaid credit card bills. His relationship with his parents was unknown.
Puzzled relatives said the parents, who were in their mid-50s, always satisfied the man's financial needs, so it was hard to say what triggered the incident.
The case is still under police investigation.
