3 trapped in China coal mine flooding

WUHAN - Three miners are still trapped underground three days after a mine flooded in Central China's Hubei province, local authorities said Friday.
The accident happened at Wanchanggou Coal Mine in Dongbao District, Jingmen city at about 3:30 pm on Tuesday when five miners were trapped, according to the municipal government.
A miner was saved by rescuers at 1:30 pm on Thursday and another worker was rescued at 4:50 pm, according to the government.
Collapses of shaft walls has hampered rescue efforts. The search for the three trapped miners is ongoing.
All coal mines in the city have been ordered to suspend operation for a security overhaul.
The cause of the accident is being investigated.
