A total 18 bridges on the Lianyungang-Korgas expressway in Sanmenxia city, Henan province are blown up in one day on Aug 9, 2013. The 18 bridges across the highway (12 in Sanmenxia city, 6 in Luoyang city) set a record for the highest number of bridges blown up in one day in China's history of expressway construction and possibly the world. The segment between Luoyang and Sanmenxia is to be reconstructed. It is not known when the bridges were constructed. [Photo/icpress.cn] |
