Man who took boss hostage detained by police

A man who held his boss hostage for more than an hour on Thursday afternoon at the office building of Shandong provincial health department in Jinan has been detained by police, China Central Television reported.
The suspect, surnamed Zhang, 24, a worker at an instrument and equipment factory in Qingdao, took his boss, surnamed Jin, hostage at knife-point around 2:30 pm.
Jin had accompanied Zhang to the health department for an occupational disease assessment. Zhang quarreled with her before the incident, the report said.
Zhang was reportedly diagnosed as having pneumoconiosis and had disputes with his employer over the disease assessment.
Jin was rescued by police at 4 pm.
