A meeting to discuss the case of court officials who met prostitutes was held in Shanghai on Wednesday.
Han Zheng, Party chief of Shanghai, said in the meeting that the case brought shame to the judicial system of Shanghai and the whole city.
"Corruption is what the public hate most. We should be aware that the danger from corruption is the greatest danger for a ruling party in the long term," Han said.
A Shanghai resident, called Ni, released a video last month on the Internet that showed judges of the Shanghai High People's Court accepting invitations to a nightclub in the company of prostitutes.
Three of the four judges have been expelled from the Party and the other has been placed on a two-year probation within the Party.
