Plastic surgery is becoming increasingly popular among young people in China, according to a survey by China Youth Daily and two news websites.
Of 17,702 people surveyed last week, 58.4 percent said they would accept the idea of having this surgery. Some 39.4 percent of interviewees were born after 1990 and 46.2 percent after 1980. A majority, 75.1 percent, said they agreed that their appearance is closely related to their competitiveness in modern society.
