1 dead, at least 6 injured in Xinjiang bus fire

URUMQI - One person died and at least six others were injured after a bus caught fire on Monday morning in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.
The bus caught fire suddenly around 11:30 am on Guangming Road in Urumqi, according to rescuers, who added that six injured people were taken to local hospitals by emergency responders.
Witnesses said that other injured passengers sought medical treatment on their own.
About 20 passengers were on the bus when the fire occurred, said the bus driver, who was injured in the fire.
The fire has been extinguished and traffic order has been restored.
Investigation into the cause of the fire is under way.
