Guangzhou beats the heat

As the rest of China feels the heat, Guangdong province has enjoyed the coolest July in years.
The average daily temperature for July was 27.7 C, 0.8 C lower than average.
The daily average in the provincial capital of Guangzhou was 27.4 C during July, the lowest since 1955, the Guangzhou Metro Daily reported, quoting the provincial meteorological administration.
Rainfall averaged 255.6 mm in Guangdong in the first 28 days of July, 20 percent more than in a normal July.
