Accidents involving special equipment, including elevators, boilers and cranes, were responsible for eight deaths in eight accidents in June, the same number as in June 2012, the top quality watchdog said on July 29.
The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said the eight accidents included three with elevators and one with large recreational facilities.
The major causes of the accidents included mismanagement and a lack of safety awareness, the administration said.
