Liu Zhijun to stand trial on Sunday

Liu Zhijun, the former railways minister, is set to stand trial in Beijing No.2 Intermediate People's Court on Sunday, Beijing News reported.
Liu was charged with corruption and abuse of power in April. The Second Branch of Beijing People's Procuratorate filed the charges against Liu with the city's No. 2 Intermediate People's Court on April 10.
Liu, also former Party chief of the now defunct Railways Ministry, was stripped of his Party membership after he was found to be involved in corruption.
