HK govt records $1.73 surplus in April

HONG KONG - The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government recorded a 13.4 billion HK dollars ($1.73 billion) surplus in April, due mainly to land premium receipts, the Financial Services & the Treasury bureau announced Friday.
The HKSAR government expenditure for the first month of the current financial year amounted to 30.2 billion HK dollars, while revenue was 43.6 billion HK dollars.
Fiscal reserves stood at 747.3 billion HK dollars as of April 30.
